Fundment launches custom indexing in UK first
We have launched custom indexing on our platform, enabling advisers to build and manage bespoke index funds on behalf of clients.
Our new service - 18 months in development and at a cost of just 10bps - allows advisers to select an existing UK or US index and either use it untouched within a portfolio, or customise it according to a client’s preference.
In this way, custom indexing offers retail investors the control, flexibility and lower costs typically afforded to institutional investors via segregated mandates.
It also broadens advisers’ ability to offer investment solutions more closely aligned with the needs and preferences of clients.
Examples include client views on environmental, social and governance (ESG), sustainability, or where they have a specific income requirement.
Using custom indexing on our platform is simple: select a base index, screen by sector, then by individual securities, and finally assign to a client or model.
